Brookstone Seafood — New: Frozen Range

Frozen Seafood UK

Brookstone Trade is launching a frozen seafood range for UK wholesale and food-service buyers — starting with frozen tuna, frozen swordfish and frozen sardines, alongside our existing chilled programme.

Overview

Brookstone Trade is expanding its seafood offering with a dedicated frozen range, built to sit alongside our established chilled tuna and chilled swordfish programmes. The frozen range gives UK importers, wholesalers, processors, retailers and food-service buyers access to the same sourcing-led approach in a format that offers longer shelf life, easier stockholding and more flexible logistics.

We are launching the frozen range with three species: tuna, swordfish and sardines. Tuna and swordfish extend our existing pelagic programmes into a frozen format for buyers who need buffer stock or steadier year-round availability. Sardines add a high-volume, accessible small pelagic species to the range, well suited to retail, food-service and further-processing buyers, including canneries.

As with our chilled programme, frozen supply is structured around agreed specifications — species, format, freezing method, grading, packing and delivery rhythm — so buyers can plan with confidence. Product is block frozen or IQF processed at source and held at -18°C or below through a continuous frozen cold chain to UK delivery.

Buyers wanting the freshest presentation and shortest lead times can continue to source through our chilled tuna supplier UK and chilled swordfish supplier UK programmes — the frozen range is designed to complement these, not replace them.

Why Add a Frozen Range?

Chilled and frozen seafood serve different commercial needs, and many of our buyers benefit from both. Frozen supply is built into the programme for buyers who need it, without changing how our chilled range operates.

Extended shelf life for buffer stock and safety margins
Steadier availability across seasonal supply gaps
IQF portioning for variable daily draw-down
Flexible logistics not tied to air-freight lead times
Suited to further processing and canning programmes
Complements chilled supply within one relationship

Who We Supply

Importers and Wholesalers

A frozen range gives distribution buyers a way to hold buffer stock and smooth out availability gaps across the year, on top of the chilled programmes they already run with us.

Food-Service Distributors and Restaurants

Kitchens and distributors needing dependable stockholding can draw on frozen supply without relying solely on tight chilled delivery windows, while still sourcing chilled where freshness is the priority.

Retailers and Processors

Retail freezer programmes and further-processing operations — including canning — benefit from a frozen product built to agreed specification from the outset.

Buyers Building a Broader Frozen Programme

As the frozen range grows beyond tuna, swordfish and sardines, we work with buyers to plan ahead for additional species and formats as programmes develop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in Brookstone Trade's frozen seafood range?

Our frozen range is launching with three species: frozen tuna (yellowfin and bigeye), frozen swordfish, and frozen sardines. Each is available in whole, cut and portioned formats depending on the species, with programmes built around buyer specification and volume.

How does the frozen range differ from your chilled seafood programme?

Chilled tuna and swordfish are air-freighted and held at 0-2°C, giving the shortest lead times and freshest presentation. Frozen product is blast frozen or IQF processed at source and held at -18°C or below, giving buyers longer shelf life, easier stockholding and steadier year-round availability. Many buyers use both — chilled for fresh-forward menus or counters, frozen for buffer stock, wider distribution windows or food-service portioning.

Can I buy both chilled and frozen product from Brookstone Trade?

Yes. The frozen range is designed to sit alongside our existing chilled tuna and chilled swordfish programmes, not replace them. Buyers can combine chilled and frozen formats within a single supply relationship depending on species, format and use case.

Who is the frozen seafood range for?

The frozen range is aimed at UK importers, wholesalers, food-service distributors, retailers, processors and canneries who need commercial volumes, longer shelf life or steadier availability than a chilled-only programme allows.

Is the frozen range available now?

Brookstone Trade is building out the frozen range starting with tuna, swordfish and sardines. Contact us to discuss current availability, lead times and programme planning for your required species and format.

Do you handle UK import documentation for frozen product?

Yes. Brookstone Trade works around UK import expectations including the practical documentation and logistics considerations needed for trade supply, with certification, health documentation and cold-chain records for every frozen shipment.
